Publication runs in the county where your LLC's office is located -- the county stated in Article SECOND of your Articles of Organization (§203(e)(2)) and shown on your NY DOS record. A registered agent's address in another county is a separate, optional designation (§203(e)(5)) and does not by itself change your office county.
So the county is not a price you shop. It is a fact about your LLC's record, and it is your own designation. We publish in the county on your record, whichever of the 62 it is.

Two different things that both get called 'publishing in Albany'
Albany County genuinely is one of the least expensive counties in the state to publish in, because the newspapers there charge less. If Albany is already the county on your LLC's record, you pay $395 and nothing about your record changes.

Northwest's first registered agent year is free with a formation package, which is where their advertised $375 comes from. An LLC formed months ago cannot buy that package retroactively, so for the reader of this page the first year is the advertised publication price plus the annual agent fee.
